- For a court case, contact the Buncombe Clerk’s Criminal Division at (828) 259-3402. The main Clerk line is (828) 259-3400.
- For a warrant-status question, the Sheriff’s FAQ directs people to Magistrates at 20 Davidson Drive, (828) 250-4690.

Choose the Right Custody System
A released person may disappear from the county roster while the booking record remains obtainable. A state prisoner or person on probation or parole belongs in NCDAC. A federal inmate belongs in BOP, and immigration custody belongs in ICE. A court disposition is separate from all custody lists. Charges are accusations and may be reduced or dismissed.
For the complete official-source routing, use the Buncombe County record search, warrant information, and local coverage follow-up.
